Lamplighter is a mixed media outlet covering alternative music, art, and literature stemming from the Garden State. The magazine is released intermittently as time and budget allows. Our goal is to provide a centralized space where we can promote the work of New Jersey’s artists, hold events that showcase these creative locals and educate the community, and establish a forum where these talents can coalesce, communicate, and collaborate.
The content from our past issues can be found on this website by visiting our Print Issues pages. Some copies of our print issues can be purchased from our web store.
Patrick Boyle | Editor-In-Chief

and Jelly Bucket.
Megan Dermody | Editor
Megan Dermody is a founder and Lamplighter’s Editor. She is a boring administrator by day and an incredible comma-fixer by night. She runs on coffee and word-nerdery (yes, it’s a thing) and plans to be a superhero when she grows up. She’s plans to ditch her day job and splash out into freelance editing… eventually.
Nadia Nieves | Promotions Director
Nadia Nieves is a founder and the Promotions Director of Lamplighter. She graduated with her bachelors degree in Psychology from William Paterson University and is currently pursuing her PhD in Cognitive Psychology. She enjoys going to shows and watching Star Trek.
Dhruvin Dave | Marketing Director
Dhruvin is a founder and the Marketing Director of Lamplighter. He graduated from William Paterson University with a BS in Business and is currently attending Rutgers to obtain his MBA in Entrepreneurship.
Mike King | Music Editor
Mike King joined Lamplighter in the spring of 2012 as Music Editor. He graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in English Writing. He enjoys singing for My Eyes Fall Victim
and the occasional foray into independent filmmaking. There is only so much local music that he can discover on his own, so don’t hesitate to submit your album for a review!
Catalina Fragoso | Chief Photographer
Catalina was the first legitimate photographer to join the Lamplighter staff back in the spring of 2012. She is a photographer for William Paterson University’s Marketing & PR Dept. Athletics, and photographer for their social media team, TwillyP. She is currently a BFA candidate at William Paterson University.
